Overview

Ebla Nav Pro is an extension for EspoCRM that enhances the navigation experience by introducing several new features and improvements to the navigation system.

These features aim to streamline the navigation process, improve user productivity, and provide a more intuitive and efficient user experience within EspoCRM.

1. Quick Add Buttons

Ebla Nav Pro introduces quick add buttons for creating new group, url & divider directly from the tab list field.

2. Open in New Tab

Note

Custom links added to EspoCRM since 8.2.0 version, for older versions, Ebla Nav Pro extension is required.

Espocrm Nav Pro allows users to open custom links in a new tab, see the image below.

3. Mouse Hover Sub Menu

With Ebla Nav Pro, hovering over menu items opens a sub-menu, enhancing navigation efficiency. The extension supports hover indent areas for better UX, ensuring making it smooth and intuitive navigation.

4. Favourite Menu on Top Navigation Bar

Users can mark records as favorites, and Ebla Nav Pro displays a dedicated Favourites menu on the top navigation bar for quick access to these records. This feature streamlines the workflow by providing easy access to frequently accessed records.

Note

Favourite records added to EspoCRM since 8.3.0 version, for older versions, Ebla Nav Pro extension is required.

5. Favourites Tabs Section

This feature allow espocrm users to have a section in the nav tabs for their favourite screens on the fly like account or contacts.

6. Menu Separator Line

Ebla Nav Pro includes a menu separator line feature, allowing users to visually organize the navigation menu by adding separators between menu items. This feature improves the clarity and structure of the navigation menu. To add a separator line, just add divider and leave the Label field empty. This is only for side menu.

8. Role-Based Menu Visibility

Control the visibility of navigation menu items based on user roles for both internal users and portal users.

Ebla Nav Pro allows administrators to define which navigation tabs, groups, or custom links are visible to specific User Roles. This ensures that users only see the menu items relevant to their responsibilities, improving usability and security.

  • Role-Based Control: Restrict access to menu items based on directly assigned roles or roles inherited through Teams.
  • Portal Role Support: Define menu visibility for Portal users based on their Portal Roles, allowing precise control over the Portal navigation tabs list.

9. Dynamic URL Placeholders

Use dynamic placeholders in Custom Links to pass user-specific data automatically.

When creating Custom Links in the navigation menu, you can include dynamic placeholders that are replaced at runtime with attributes of the currently logged-in user.

Syntax: {attribute}

Behavior: Each placeholder is automatically replaced with the corresponding user field value.

Example: 

https://external-app.com?uid={id}&name={userName}
In this example:

{id} is replaced with the current user’s ID.

{userName} is replaced with the current user’s username.

Use Case: Seamlessly integrate external systems by passing user context without manual configuration.

10. Global Search Scope Synchronization

For non-admin users, the extension automatically synchronizes the Global Search entity scope with the user's available navigation tabs. Entities that are hidden or not present in
the user's navigation bar will be filtered out of the Global Search dropdown list, ensuring a cleaner and more relevant search experience consistent with their navigation access.
