AI Summary

AI Summary adds a stored overview to a record's side panel. It can include readable record fields and selected recent activity.

Enable it

  1. Open Administration > Entity Manager.
  2. Select the entity and edit it.
  3. Enable AI Summary.
  4. Optionally select a summary profile, prompt, and related links.
  5. Save.

Permissions

The user needs:

  • Read access to AI Record Summary to view the panel
  • Create access for the first generation
  • Edit access to regenerate
  • Read access to the source record and included data

Generate or refresh

Open the record and click Generate Summary. A saved summary is shown on later visits.

If the record changed after generation, the panel marks the summary as outdated. An authorized user can refresh it at any time.

Control the context

The summary can use:

  • Readable record fields
  • Assigned user
  • Selected related records
  • Recent stream entries
  • Recent Meetings, Calls, and Tasks
  • Recent related emails

To exclude a field:

  1. Open the field in Administration > Entity Manager.
  2. Enable Disable in AI Summary.
  3. Save and rebuild when prompted.

Keep AI Summary Include Links focused to reduce token use and irrelevant context.
